Written for CompanyCam - Senior Product Designer

Looking for a designer who has already shipped AI experiences?

Hi, I'm Alex. From early-stage startups to a large enterprise platform, I've designed AI features that had to hold up in front of real users: a support bot, a conversational discovery product built from nothing, and an assistant redesign that fixed a trust problem before it changed a single screen. I've spent five years in product design, with nearly four of them at Sprinklr in B2B SaaS. I've learned that the hard part isn't the chat window, it's deciding what the system should do when it isn't sure, and designing so people can tell the difference.

Why am I fit for this role?

I've shipped AI features, not just explored them

Multiple things I designed at Sprinklr were AI features that went to real users. The one I'd point to first is a conversational assistant that had already launched and that people had stopped believing, because it sometimes cited five sources and sometimes two with no visible logic behind the difference. Before any screen changed, I worked with Product and the AI team to define standardized response rules and conversation logic, then designed the prototype around those rules.

I design the system's behavior, not just its interface

The hardest part of an AI feature is usually settled before the first frame: what evidence to show, when to say "I don't know" instead of guessing, and where the system stops and a human starts. On a help bot I designed to reduce support tickets, that boundary was the whole product. Deflection is easy to win by making support hard to reach, so the real work was deciding when to hand off, how visible that path stays, and what a failed answer does next.

I'm comfortable when there's nothing to start from

I defined Sprinklr's Influencer Marketing product from zero: no surface, no pattern in the design system, no internal agreement on what it was. I built discovery around conversation rather than filters, because people described who they wanted in language our filters couldn't express. That choice cost precision and repeatability, so most of the design became deciding where the conversation ends and a working surface begins.

Relevant Projects

AI Support

Support was absorbing questions the platform should have been able to answer itself. I designed a bot around the boundary that actually mattered, where it stops and a human starts, since deflection is easy to win by making support hard to reach.

AI Assistant

Sprinklr's AI assistant had already launched, but people didn't trust its answers, partly because it sometimes cited five sources and sometimes two with no visible logic behind the difference. I worked with Product and the AI team to define standardized response rules before any screen changed, then prototyped several evidence treatments.

Influencer Marketing

Customers were running influencer campaigns outside the platform, with no surface, no pattern in the design system, and no internal agreement on what the product should be. I built discovery around conversation instead of filters, because people described who they wanted in language our filters couldn't express, and it launched to three beta accounts.
